Education

The Education Pillar is focused on bridging the knowledge gap to properly fight against cancer. We aim to provide students with the resources needed to understand the various facets of cancer, ranging from ongoing research to how to be an informed advocate. Through resources, we seek to prepare students by developing their professional and personal growth.

We design informational workshops on many topics, including research programs, professional development. We also design guides detailing the facts of various blood cancers that serve to help patients, patients’ families, and caregivers.

A critical component of the education pillar is the dissemination of knowledge to the general public, and sharing educational posts on the various social media platforms ensures that a large audience is able to extract the vital information in a condensed manner. Recent posts have focused on educating the audience about the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, ranging from the effect on cancer patients and patient finances as well as potential treatments.
